Presentation
Using Lessons Learned to Improvement
Projects, A Case Study
This case study will teach attendees to collect, document
and apply lessons learned from previous activities to their
current efforts. We will explain After Action Reviews, AARs
which are a rigorous method to capture lessons learned
during a project or other activity.
It will explain how we actually used AARs to gather
lessons learned from each phase of a major process
improvement project and how we assured the lessons we
gathered were applied to improve results in later phases of
the project.
Following this case study, the participants will be able
to:
- Conduct After Action Review sessions to gather and
document lessons learned
- Use the lessons gathered to improve later phases of a
project, or to future projects
- Develop and utilize a closed loop process to assure
lessons are applied
