Course Description

The Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM) is the first course of CPIM training. The Basics of Supply Chain Management explores the basic concepts of managing the flow of materials in a supply chain. In this 10-session course, you receive a complete overview of work and material flow from internal and external suppliers, from vendors and to your customers. Foundation topics include:

  • Basic supply chain terms and concepts
  • MPS and MRP System Planning
  • Inventory Control/ Management
  • Total Quality Management (TQM)
  • Demand Planning
  • Forecasting principles and concepts
  • Capacity Management
  • Lean Concepts
  • Purchasing concepts
  • Accounting principles
